Dan Sullivan (born November 13, 1964) is the junior U.S. Senator from Alaska, having taken office on January 3, 2015. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran (retiring as a colonel), he previously served as U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs, Alaska Attorney General, and Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources. He is running for reelection to a third term in 2026, competing in Alaska's nonpartisan top-four primary on August 18, 2026, with the general election decided by ranked-choice voting on November 3, 2026.
