ESAFund, formerly the Ending Spending Action Fund, is a conservative super PAC chaired by TD Ameritrade founder and Chicago Cubs owner Joe Ricketts and heavily financed by his wife Marlene Ricketts and hedge-fund billionaire Paul Singer; in 2016 it was the largest outside spender supporting John Kennedy's U.S. Senate bid, and a local pro-Kennedy super PAC (Make Louisiana Proud PAC) dissolved and routed its remaining funds to ESAFund.
