Joseph Baldacci (b. 1965) is a Bangor attorney and Democrat who has represented District 9 in the Maine Senate since 2020. He previously served roughly 12 years on the Bangor City Council, including terms as council chair. A brother of former Maine Gov. John Baldacci, he ran in the 2026 Democratic primary for Maine's open 2nd Congressional District, leading the early ranked-choice rounds before narrowly losing the final runoff to Matt Dunlap.
