Michael Dean Crapo ( KRAY-poh; born May 20, 1951) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the senior United States senator from Idaho, a seat he has held since 1999. A member of the Republican Party, Crapo served from 1993 to 1999 as the U.S. representative for Idaho's 2nd congressional district. Born in Idaho Falls, Crapo is a graduate of Brigham Young University and Harvard Law School, practicing law in his home city throughout the 1980s. [Wikipedia ↗]
