Wireless carrier that grew out of FleetCall, an early Warner venture
Nextel Communications was a U.S. wireless carrier that grew out of FleetCall, a company Mark Warner helped co-found and finance during his early career brokering cellular licenses. Warner's role as an early investor in the venture that became Nextel, alongside his work trading cellular spectrum, generated much of his personal wealth before he entered elected office.
