Rudy Salas is a Democratic politician who served in the California State Assembly from 2012 to 2022 and previously on the Bakersfield City Council, where he was the first Latino elected. He was the Democratic nominee against David Valadao in California's 22nd Congressional District in both 2022 and 2024.
