Ryan Busse is a former firearms-industry executive who spent about 25 years as a top sales executive at Kimber before leaving in 2020 and publishing 'Gunfight,' a memoir critical of the gun industry. He was the Democratic nominee for governor of Montana in 2024, losing to incumbent Greg Gianforte. In 2026 he ran in the Democratic primary for the open 1st Congressional District, losing to Sam Forstag.
