Troy Dale Jackson (born 1968) is a fifth-generation logger from Allagash, Maine, who has served in the state legislature since 2002 and was Maine Senate President from 2018 to 2024. A labor-aligned progressive Democrat, he ran for governor in 2026 with the backing of Sen. Bernie Sanders but finished third in the Democratic primary. On July 7, 2026 he filed an FEC exploratory committee, and after nominee Graham Platner suspended his campaign, Jackson entered the 2026 U.S. Senate race challenging Republican Sen. Susan Collins.
