Wesley Hunt is a Republican who has represented Texas's 38th congressional district in the U.S. House since January 2023. A West Point graduate and former U.S. Army Apache helicopter pilot, he also earned graduate degrees from Cornell University before entering politics. Hunt ran for the U.S. Senate in 2026, joining the Republican primary alongside incumbent John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton, and placed third in the March 3, 2026 primary.
