Yvette Diane Clarke (born November 21, 1964) is an American politician serving in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2007. She represented New York's 11th congressional district until 2013, and then New York's 9th congressional district after redistricting. Previously, Clarke represented the 40th district in Brooklyn on the New York City Council from 2002 to 2006. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Clarke was first elected to Congress in 2006.
