Dan Kleban, about 49, is the co-founder of Maine Beer Company, a Freeport-based brewery he started with his wife and brother. A first-time candidate, he launched a Democratic U.S. Senate campaign in September 2025 to challenge Republican Sen. Susan Collins, then suspended it in October 2025 and endorsed Gov. Janet Mills.
